Senior Congress leader and MP Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on March 24 due to fever, has been discharged for further treatment and home monitoring. According to Dr. Ajay Swaroop, the hospital's president, she received antibiotic treatment under the supervision of Dr. D.S. Rana, Dr. S. Nandi, and Dr. Arup Basu, which has shown positive results.


 


Earlier, doctors reported significant improvement in Sonia Gandhi's condition, stating that she is now fully recovered. A decision to discharge her from the hospital was anticipated soon. She was admitted around 10:22 PM on March 24 after experiencing fever. Dr. Ajay Swaroop mentioned that she is still receiving intravenous antibiotics, which will continue for a few more days, although all her parameters are within normal limits.


 


According to the medical team, the decision to discharge her will be made jointly after consulting with both the patient and the treating physician. Otherwise, she is completely healthy. The doctors indicated that she is being treated for a systemic infection, and the antibiotics are having a beneficial effect.
