Sonia Gandhi, the leader of the Congress parliamentary party, was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday. According to Naresh Chauhan, the Chief Minister's principal media advisor, she was brought in for a routine health check-up due to some minor health issues.
