Sonia Gandhi's Hospitalization Details

Sonia Gandhi, the leader of the Congress parliamentary party, was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the national capital on Sunday due to gastrointestinal issues, as confirmed by the hospital. She is currently under observation in the gastroenterology department.


Previously, on June 7, Gandhi was hospitalized at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.


According to Naresh Chauhan, the principal media advisor to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, the CPP chairperson was brought in for a routine health check due to some minor health concerns.


Hospital sources indicated that Gandhi (78) was admitted around 9 PM to the gastroenterology department. They reported that her condition is stable, and she is being monitored by a team of doctors. Sonia Gandhi, who has previously served as Congress president, underwent medical examinations at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on June 9. Just two days prior, she had experienced complaints of high blood pressure and underwent tests at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla.
