Tragic Incident in Sonbhadra

In a shocking incident in the Myorpur area of Sonbhadra district, a man was arrested for allegedly murdering his father with a wooden stick on Thursday evening, driven by suspicions related to black magic.


According to the Additional Superintendent of Police, Tribhuvan Nath Tripathi, the accused, identified as Ramjatan, attacked his 65-year-old father, Rajmal, striking him on the head. Rajmal was rushed to a community health center, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.


Tripathi further explained that Ramjatan had been blaming his parents for his inability to have children after several years of marriage. He accused them of practicing sorcery, which had led to multiple disputes between him and his parents in the past.


On the day of the incident, Ramjatan had another argument with his parents, which escalated into a violent attack on his father. The police have since registered a case and apprehended the suspect.
