A Son's Realization

In a small village, a son lived with his elderly father and wife. As the father aged, his health deteriorated, leading to increased demands on the son's wife, who found herself overwhelmed by the care required. One day, she suggested to her husband that he should take his father to a nursing home, stating that she could no longer manage the responsibilities of caring for him. She urged him to ensure that his father would not return home even during festivals.

The son agreed and took his father to the nursing home. However, he soon realized he needed to inform the staff that his father should remain there during the festive seasons. Upon returning to the nursing home, he was surprised to find his father joyfully embracing the director of the facility, both appearing quite happy together. This unexpected scene left the son astonished at how quickly they had bonded.

After a brief moment, the father retreated to his room, prompting the son to speak with the director. He inquired about how long the director had known his father. The director revealed that he had known him for thirty years, as the father had adopted a child from the orphanage three decades ago.

In that moment, the son realized that the child the director referred to was none other than himself. His father had dedicated everything to ensure his happiness, even to the extent of moving to a nursing home. Overwhelmed with guilt, the son recognized the grave mistake he had made in abandoning such a noble man.

Filled with remorse, he sought forgiveness from his father and brought him back home, promising his wife that she would now take care of her father-in-law.
