Sneha Singh's Remarkable Comeback
Sneha Singh, who had established a commanding six-shot lead with just six holes remaining, faced a dramatic turn of events that led her to a playoff against the experienced Vani Kapoor. Ultimately, Sneha clinched victory in the 11th Leg of the Women's Pro Golf Tour held at Clover Greens.
After impressively shooting a 10-under on the second day, Sneha struggled on the final day with a score of 5-over 76. Both players finished regulation play at 3-under 210, marking Sneha's return to the winner's circle after an 18-month hiatus since her last title in February 2025.
Exciting Final Round
In the final round, Sneha (73-61-76) competed against Vani Kapoor (67-71-72), who started the day four shots behind, and Nayanika Sanga (72-68-71), who was six shots back.
Sneha began the round with a bogey and went eight holes without a birdie. Despite Vani's double bogey and Nayanika's struggles, Sneha managed to extend her lead, especially after birdieing the tenth hole.
Dramatic Changes on the Back Nine
As the back nine unfolded, Nayanika made consecutive birdies on the 13th and 14th holes, while Sneha faltered with two double bogeys on the same holes. Vani also birdied the 13th, narrowing Sneha's lead to just one shot.
With Vani and Nayanika finishing the 18th hole with pars, Sneha only needed a par to secure her win. However, she succumbed to the pressure, dropping a shot and forcing a playoff with Vani.
Final Standings and Highlights
In the standings, Smriti Bhargav (70) and amateur Ayesha Gupta, who was co-leader in the first round, finished tied for third at 2-under alongside Nayanika. Riya Jadon secured sixth place after a tumultuous finish with three birdies and two bogeys.
Jasmine Shekar (69) and Lavanya Jadon (71) tied for seventh at an even-par total of 213, while Amandeep Drall (71) placed ninth. Ridhima Dilawari (72), Ananya Datar (72), and Shagun Narain (74) completed the Top-10. Anvvi Dahhiya took 13th place, with Khushi Khanijau, Tvesa Malik, and Heena Kang tied for 14th.
Ridhima Dilawari, with three wins this season, leads the Order of Merit, followed by Jasmine Shekar, Vani Kapoor, and Amandeep Drall, who are the only players to surpass Rs.10 lakhs in earnings this season after 11 events.
