From July 20 to July 29, the North Western Railway has announced substantial changes to train operations between Rajasthan and Delhi due to the upgrade of the electronic interlocking panel at Delhi Sarai Rohilla station. A total of 27 trains will be completely canceled, while 8 will experience partial disruptions, and 22 trains will be diverted. The routes most affected include Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Barmer.

Double Decker Train Canceled for Eight Days

The Jaipur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Double Decker Express (12985/86) will be canceled from July 21 to July 28. According to Shashi Kiran, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, this train typically accommodates around 2,000 passengers daily, leading to an estimated revenue loss of approximately ₹7 million due to its cancellation.

Bus Travel Becomes a Preferred Option

With the disruptions in train services, bus travel has emerged as a viable alternative for passengers traveling from Jaipur to Delhi. Rajasthan Roadways operates 65 express buses daily to Delhi, departing from Sindhi Camp and Transport Nagar.


There are 11 AC deluxe and super luxury buses available each day, with the first AC bus leaving at 7:31 AM and the last at 11:59 PM. Buses run every 2 to 3 hours, and 16 private electric buses are also active on this route.
