Bullet Train Project Update

Bullet Train Update: On Tuesday, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw provided a significant update regarding India's ambitious Bullet Train initiative, accompanied by a video. The Railway Minister announced via his official X account that 300 kilometers of the viaduct have been successfully completed. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) is tasked with managing the project's overall execution.

According to the latest information, around 76% of the evacuation work at the Mumbai bullet train station has been accomplished. This station, situated at Bandra Kurla Complex, is notable for being the only underground station along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor. Currently, three batching plants with a capacity of 120 cum/hr are operational at the construction site.

The site is equipped with a state-of-the-art concrete laboratory, which includes facilities for Water Permeability and Rapid Chloride Penetration Tests. Furthermore, each base slab is being constructed using M-60 grade temperature-controlled concrete, produced by on-site batching and chiller plants.

The station is designed to reach a depth of approximately 26 meters below ground level and will feature three levels: platform, concourse, and service floor. In total, the station will have six platforms, each extending about 415 meters in length. Earlier, on May 12, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had also shared an update regarding the bullet train project on his X account.
