Major Forest Land Recovery in Shivpuri

Under the continuous efforts and active guidance of Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister for Information and Development of the Northeast Region, a significant operation was conducted by the Forest Department on Saturday, resulting in the reclamation of 275 bighas of forest land in the Satnawada forest area of Shivpuri district.




It is noteworthy that Scindia has consistently prioritized the removal of long-standing illegal encroachments on this forest land during several review meetings with relevant officials, leading to this decisive action.




In the Beat Thathi of Behtoni village (RF 481, 482, and PF 913), illegal encroachments by Ballu Sikarwar, Punjab Singh Gurjar, Pran Singh Gurjar, and Shishupal Singh Chauhan were dismantled with the assistance of nine JCB machines, successfully restoring 140, 80, and 55 bighas of land back to the Forest Department.




This operation was carried out under the supervision of Forest Division Officer Sudhanshu Yadav and Deputy Forest Division Officer A. Prabhajan Reddy, following the awareness raised by Union Minister and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, with the collaborative efforts of the Revenue Department, police, and village forest committee, led by Ranger Madhav Singh Sikarwar.




Afforestation Plans for Reclaimed Land


The Forest Department has immediately initiated the process of restoring greenery by planting seeds of species such as Khair, Babool, and Prosopis on the reclaimed land. A large-scale afforestation campaign is planned for the coming days.
