Siddarth Kaul and Karn Sharma Seek Blessings at Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple

Cricketers Offer Prayers in Ujjain

On Thursday, former Indian cricketer Siddarth Kaul and current player Karn Sharma visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple located in Ujjain. Both athletes participated in the temple's Bhasma Aarti ceremony.

In a conversation with a news outlet, Karn Sharma expressed that his visit to the Mahakaleshwar Temple was both peaceful and uplifting. He mentioned that it had been a long time since he attended the Bhasma Aarti and commended the temple for its positive atmosphere and excellent facilities.

"It felt wonderful. The positive energy here is remarkable, and I always feel at peace when I come here. This energy can only be experienced in person. I encourage everyone to visit and seek blessings here," Karn shared.

"I have not attended the Bhasma Aarti in quite some time. It was a great experience, and the facilities are impressive," he added.

Siddarth Kaul revealed that he had long desired to visit Mahakal and credited Karn Sharma for facilitating the trip. "I had been thinking about having darshan at Mahakal for a while, and Karn assisted me in making this visit happen," Siddarth stated.

India's Crucial Match in T20 World Cup 2026

Shifting focus to cricket, Team India, under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, is set to face Zimbabwe in their second Super 8s match of the T20 World Cup 2026 on Thursday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This match is critical for India's chances in the tournament.

After suffering a significant 76-run defeat against South Africa in their opening Super 8s match, the defending champions find themselves in a precarious position. They now rely on South Africa to remain unbeaten while needing to win their next two matches against Zimbabwe and West Indies.

If these conditions are not met, India's fate in the tournament will hinge on their net run rate. With West Indies boasting a net run rate above +5 and South Africa over +3, it will be challenging for India to improve their own negative net run rate. The Proteas failing to remain unbeaten could potentially end India's campaign.
