Tragic Shooting in Pul Prahladpur

New Delhi, July 28 - A shooting late Monday night in the Pul Prahladpur area of South Delhi resulted in the death of a 28-year-old man and left another individual injured. This information was confirmed by an official on Tuesday.


The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Irshad, also known as Guddu, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. His body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. According to police reports, Irshad's companion, 27-year-old Mohammad Farooq, was shot in the hand and was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Center, where he received treatment and was later discharged.


Crime scene investigators and forensic experts examined the site of the shooting and collected evidence. Authorities recovered ten spent cartridges and two live rounds from the scene, which have been seized for forensic analysis. The police have formed several teams to identify and apprehend the assailants.
