Agra witnessed a troubling incident where a young man working at a roadside eatery was shot under suspicious circumstances. His family has accused a government teacher of being involved in the attack. The police have initiated an investigation following the filing of a case, while several questions regarding the motive behind the shooting remain unanswered.
On Thursday night, a young man employed at a dhaba in the Semri area of Ekta police station was shot in the leg. The police rushed him to SN Medical College for treatment. The victim's mother has alleged that the teacher's wife shot her son due to suspicions of an illicit relationship. Authorities have registered a case and are currently probing the matter.
Tinni, a resident of Saraswati Vihar in Sewla, reported that her 22-year-old son, Rahul Sharma, worked at a dhaba in the Ekta area. About a year ago, he rented a room from the accused teacher. The teacher's 40-year-old wife allegedly ensnared him in a romantic trap, threatening to have him jailed if he did not comply with her demands. The teacher has reportedly assaulted Rahul multiple times for meeting the woman.
After vacating the premises to avoid further conflict, Rahul was called back by the teacher under the pretext of a conversation on Thursday night. Around 9 PM, when Tinni received a call from her son, he informed her that he had been shot. She immediately alerted the police and rushed to the scene, where they assisted in transporting her son to the medical facility. The station officer confirmed that a case has been registered and that the initial investigation suggests suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
Pressure from Authorities
The injured youth's mother claimed that during the police inquiry, both the teacher and his wife appeared at the station. The woman allegedly made statements about her relationship with her son, who is significantly younger than her. Meanwhile, the police reportedly pressured Rahul to state that he shot himself.
