Emergency services and police are currently responding to a shooting incident at Seattle Center, where reports indicate multiple individuals have been injured. The event took place around 6:00 p.m. local time at the venue, which is currently hosting the Bite of Seattle food festival this weekend. Eyewitnesses described hearing a rapid succession of gunfire, prompting a chaotic evacuation of the area.
A representative from the Seattle Police Department stated that he was en route to the scene and could not provide additional information at this time. Kayla Carris, a 22-year-old attendee at the festival, recounted the panic that ensued following the shots fired. She noted, "Everyone was just throwing stuff and running, like everyone." As of now, authorities have not confirmed how many victims there are or the details surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
