Lucknow News: A shooting incident occurred around noon on Thursday in the Rahimabad area of Lucknow, where Anil Kumar Singh, the principal of Prabhavati PV Educational Institution, was shot by a local youth named Vijay Pal due to a personal dispute. The bullet struck the principal after ricocheting off a cupboard, resulting in serious injuries. He was rushed to CHC Malihabad and subsequently referred to a trauma center for further treatment.

According to Principal Anil Kumar Singh, who resides in Jugrajganj, he was in his office when Vijay Pal arrived in a Wagon R car and entered the school brandishing a firearm. As the principal attempted to hide behind a cupboard, the assailant fired, hitting him in the abdomen.

Upon hearing the gunfire, teachers and nearby residents rushed to the office. Just as Vijay Pal was about to fire again, he was apprehended by the teachers and locals. However, he managed to escape, threatening those who tried to stop him, and fled the scene in his car.

The sound of gunfire caused panic among approximately 150 students present in the school, who began to scream and flee. Teachers Jagdish Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Kanchan, Mansi, and Amit Kumar worked quickly to calm and control the situation. Anil Kumar Singh was immediately taken to CHC Malihabad for initial treatment before being referred to the trauma center, where his condition remains critical.

Inspector Arun Kumar Trigunayak from Rahimabad police station reported that a case has been registered against Vijay Pal for attempted murder based on the principal's complaint, which cites personal grievances and financial disputes. Three teams have been formed to locate the suspect, and authorities are optimistic about his swift capture.
