In the early hours of Monday and Tuesday, an unidentified group targeted a gym in the West Vihar area of outer Delhi, causing panic among local residents. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported from this alarming incident, but claims of involvement by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have raised concerns for the Delhi police.
Details of the Shooting
Authorities reported that gunfire erupted at a gym in West Vihar, leading to widespread fear in the vicinity. The incident, which occurred overnight, did not result in any injuries. Allegedly, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the shooting through a social media post.
Gang Claims Responsibility
A social media post from Randeep Malik, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the shooting at the gym. According to the post, the gym was targeted because the owner failed to respond to a phone call from the gang.
Threatening Message from Malik
In his post, Malik stated, "Jai Mahakal… Jai Shri Ram. Sat Sri Akal… Greetings to all brothers. A shooting occurred today at RK Fitness gym in West Vihar, Delhi. This was carried out by me, Randeep Malik, and Anil Pandit (USA). I called him, but he ignored my call, which is why this action was necessary. If you ignore my call again, I will eliminate you from this earth, just like Nadir Shah was dealt with. Note: Anyone who is an enemy of Lawrence will remain an enemy for life."
Police Investigating the Incident
The police are currently investigating the authenticity of the post. Following the report of the shooting at RK Gym, police teams were dispatched to the scene, and the area was cordoned off. Forensic teams were also called in to gather evidence. A senior officer mentioned that a live cartridge was recovered from the site, and a case has been registered. Multiple teams have been formed to identify and locate the assailants.

To understand the sequence of events and trace the escape route of the attackers, police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas.
Who is Lawrence Bishnoi?
Lawrence Bishnoi is a notorious gangster born on February 12, 1993, in the village of Dutaranwali in Punjab's Fazilka district. He was active in student politics during his college years but later ventured into the criminal underworld, gaining notoriety over time. Bishnoi has been incarcerated since 2015 and is alleged to still lead his gang from behind bars. He is also accused of being involved in the murder of famous singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.
