Shocking Viral Video: Woman Brutally Attacked in Karnataka Mosque Incident

Karnataka: A disturbing video depicting the violent assault of a 38-year-old woman in Davanagere has ignited widespread anger across Karnataka.

Reports indicate that the victim, Shabina Banu, along with her relative Nasreen (32) and a man named Fayaz, were called to the Jama Masjid mosque in Tavarekere village following a complaint lodged by her husband, Jameel Ahmed Shameer.

Officials stated that after discovering Fayaz and Nasreen at their residence, Jameel filed a complaint, which led to a confrontation. Upon their arrival at the mosque, Shabina was attacked by a group of six men who brutally assaulted her with sticks and pipes, resulting in severe injuries.

Following the video's circulation, law enforcement apprehended six suspects—Mohammad Niyaz, Mohammad Gauspeer, Chand Basha, Inayat Ullah, Dastagir, and Rasool—who were named in Shabina's complaint.

On April 11, Shabina filed a formal complaint under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A special investigation team has been formed to pursue the case, and the accused have been located.
