Shocking Train Incident: Woman Survives After Being Pushed Out by Husband

Ramgarh: A shocking incident unfolded in Jharkhand when a 25-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh allegedly threw his wife from a moving train, according to local police reports.

Remarkably, the woman survived the fall and is currently receiving medical care at RIMS in Ranchi.

The couple had boarded the Varanasi Express on Tuesday, intending to travel from Barkakana to Varanasi.

The incident took place as the train was traveling between Bhurkunda and Patratu railway stations within the East Central Railway division.

The woman fell into a ditch filled with water, sustaining injuries.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel came to her aid and transported her to a nearby government hospital, where she was later referred to RIMS for further treatment, as stated by a Government Railway Police (GRP) official.

Manohar Barla, the Officer-in-Charge of GRP at Barkakana, reported that a railway lineman discovered the injured woman in the ditch and alerted the RPF in Patratu.

Initially treated at Sadar Hospital in Ramgarh, she was subsequently sent to RIMS for advanced care.

In her account to the police, Khushboo Kumari, who is originally from Devaria in Uttar Pradesh, explained that she was traveling to Varanasi with her husband, whom she married a year prior.

She accused her husband of attempting to murder her by pushing her from the speeding train, disguising it as an accident.

Khusboo expressed her gratitude for surviving the ordeal, attributing her escape to divine intervention.

A GRP officer confirmed that an investigation is currently underway regarding the incident.
