Shocking Sexual Assault Case in Jharkhand: 15-Year-Old Girl Victimized

Jamshedpur, May 27: A deeply troubling case of sexual assault has surfaced in the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, where a 15-year-old girl was reportedly taken hostage and brutally raped by an employee of the government health department, as confirmed by officials on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Kitadih, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Parsudih Police Station.
As per the complaint, the suspect, Munna Tamsi, who works in the malaria department in Gamharia, allegedly enticed the young girl, a resident of the same area, to his home late at night, where he held her captive and assaulted her.
After the traumatic experience, the girl returned home late at night but initially chose to remain silent due to fear. The situation came to light the following morning when she disclosed her ordeal to her elder sister, revealing the crime.
Upon learning of the horrific act, Draupadi Murmu, a local Panchayat Samiti member, along with the victim's family, promptly went to the Parsudih police station to file an official complaint.
In response to the report, police conducted a raid at the suspect's location and confiscated his motorcycle. However, Tamsi has evaded capture and has been missing since the incident was reported.
This incident has ignited significant outrage among the local community and public officials in Jamshedpur. Local leaders have condemned the act, labeling it a severe blemish on society, particularly since the accused is a government employee in a department dedicated to public welfare.
According to a senior police official, "Multiple police teams are actively conducting targeted raids at various suspected locations to locate and apprehend the absconding employee."
Meanwhile, community members and local representatives are calling for immediate action, urging authorities to expedite legal proceedings to ensure the harshest penalties for the accused.
