A distressing incident has emerged from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, where a young woman became a victim of rape. The situation escalated after she was invited to enjoy pizza by a friend of her acquaintance.

In this shocking case, the dentist was deceived into consuming pizza laced with a drug, leading to her assault. The betrayal came from her own friend, who had invited her to the birthday celebration. This incident is particularly alarming as it involved a professional who placed her trust in someone close to her.

On April 9, 2026, the victim was invited to a birthday party. During the event, a young man named Danish allegedly spiked her pizza with a narcotic. Once she lost consciousness, he took advantage of the situation and assaulted her. Following the complaint, local authorities apprehended the suspect in West Bengal.

The victim, who hails from Jamshedpur, was preparing for her Master’s in Dental Surgery (MDS) while residing in Ranchi. The ordeal began at around 5 PM on April 9 when she arrived at her friend's home in Lalpur for the birthday celebration, which included five attendees, including her friend and three other males. Allegations suggest that after cutting the cake around 8 PM, the intentions of the group turned sinister.

Administered a Drug First

According to the dentist, she felt hungry during the party, prompting Danish to offer her pizza. Shortly after consuming it, her health deteriorated, leading her to seek rest in a separate room. Danish followed her and assaulted her while she was incapacitated. The next morning, she became aware of the horrific act that had occurred. Subsequently, her condition worsened, and on April 11, another friend named Shivam admitted her to 'Orchid Hospital' in critical condition. Authorities are currently investigating the matter further.
