The victim, Vimlesh Devi, was the wife of local resident Chandra Shekhar Singh, who had traveled to Punjab to visit their son and daughter-in-law about two months prior. During his absence, unknown assailants broke into their home and committed the heinous act against Vimlesh Devi.
