A Disturbing Incident in Gurugram

Gurugram: A shocking incident has emerged from Gurugram, Haryana, where a neighbor turned against his close friend due to a woman. This tragic event unfolded as a result of an illicit affair, leading to the murder of the friend. The murderer reportedly drew inspiration from crime shows and movies like 'Drishyam'. Let's delve into the details of this case.

Vikram, a contractor for a garment export company, was murdered in Gurugram. Surprisingly, the perpetrator was none other than his friend. However, the murder was not solely the work of the friend; Vikram's wife, Soni, was involved from the kidnapping to the murder and the disposal of the body, in collaboration with her boyfriend, Ravindra.

The Full Story Unfolds

Vikram hailed from Nawada district in Bihar and lived in a rented house in Dundaheda village, Gurugram, with his wife Soni and their two children. On the morning of July 26, 2025, he left for work but never returned home. His nephew, Rakesh, grew worried and called the company, only to learn that Vikram had left at 9 AM.

Three days passed without any sign of Vikram. On July 28, Soni filed a missing person report at the Industrial Area police station. However, her behavior raised suspicions among the family. When questioned, she pointed fingers at her neighbor and Vikram's friend, Ravindra, claiming he had assaulted her and was blackmailing her with a video.

The Murder Conspiracy

The police quickly detained Ravindra. During intense questioning, he revealed that he worked in car rentals and had an illicit relationship with Soni. They feared their affair would be exposed, especially after Vikram's daughter had seen inappropriate videos of her mother on Ravindra's phone and informed her father. This revelation terrified Soni and Ravindra, prompting them to plot Vikram's murder.

To ensure their plan was foolproof, they repeatedly watched Bollywood films like 'Drishyam' and episodes of 'Crime Patrol' to avoid mistakes that could lead to police suspicion. On July 26, Ravindra, along with three friends, Manish, Fariyad, and another accomplice, kidnapped Vikram, strangled him with a rope, and then buried his body in a pit near the Mohammadpur village in Gurugram, which had already been dug by Ravindra's uncle, Santarpal.

The Role of the Uncle

Santarpal, who worked with cattle, had adopted Ravindra. After the murder, Ravindra and his accomplices approached Santarpal to help bury the body. Meanwhile, Soni remained in constant contact with Ravindra, seeking updates on the situation.

To mislead the police, Soni initially reported Vikram as missing and later falsely accused Ravindra of rape to complicate matters further. However, a small mistake on her part led to the unraveling of their entire scheme. The police, acting on Ravindra's lead, discovered the body. Investigations revealed that Soni had fabricated the rape story solely to divert police attention. Following this, the police arrested Manish and Fariyad, who were from the Hastinapur area in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Manish sold momos, while Fariyad repaired bikes. Both were friends of Ravindra and participated in the murder at his behest. The police, with assistance from the Hastinapur police station, apprehended them from their village. Further legal actions are underway.
