Gurugram: A shocking incident has emerged from Gurugram, Haryana, where a neighbor turned into an enemy, leading to a tragic murder. The motive? A woman. Yes, the case revolves around illicit relationships that resulted in a friend killing his own companion. The murder plot was inspired by the TV show 'Crime Patrol' and the film 'Drishyam'. Vikram, a contractor for a garment export company, was murdered in Gurugram. Surprisingly, the perpetrator was none other than his friend. However, the murder was not solely orchestrated by the friend; Vikram's wife, Soni, was involved from the kidnapping to the murder and the disposal of the body, in contact with her boyfriend, Ravinder.

What Happened?

Originally from Nawada district in Bihar, Vikram lived in a rented house in Dundaheda village, Gurugram, with his wife Soni and their two children while working as a contractor. On the morning of July 26, 2025, he left for work and never returned home. His nephew, Rakesh, grew worried and called the company, only to learn that Vikram had left at 9 AM.

Three days passed without any sign of Vikram. On July 28, Soni filed a missing person report at the Industrial Area police station. However, her behavior raised suspicions among the family. When questioned, she accused her neighbor and Vikram's friend, Ravinder, of the murder, claiming he had blackmailed her with an explicit video.

Conspiracy Between Friends and Wife

The police quickly detained Ravinder. During intense interrogation, he revealed that he worked in booking rental vehicles and had an illicit affair with Soni. They feared their secret would be exposed after Vikram's daughter discovered inappropriate videos on Ravinder's phone. This revelation prompted Soni and Ravinder to plot Vikram's elimination.

Inspired by 'Drishyam'

To ensure their plan was foolproof, they repeatedly watched the Bollywood film 'Drishyam' and several episodes of 'Crime Patrol'. On July 26, Ravinder, along with three accomplices, Manish, Fariyad, and another, kidnapped Vikram. Together, they strangled him with a rope and subsequently buried his body in a pit near the Mohdapur village in Gurugram, which had been previously dug by Ravinder's uncle, Santarpal.

Uncle's Involvement

Santarpal, who worked with cattle, had adopted Ravinder. After the murder, Ravinder and his accomplices approached Santarpal and had him bury the body. Throughout this, Soni remained in constant contact with Ravinder, monitoring every step via phone.

To mislead the police, Soni initially reported Vikram as missing. Later, she attempted to complicate matters by falsely accusing Ravinder of rape. However, a minor mistake led to the unraveling of their conspiracy. The police recovered the body based on Ravinder's information. Investigations revealed that Soni had fabricated the rape story merely to divert the police's attention. Following this, the police arrested Manish and Fariyad, who were friends of Ravinder and had participated in the murder. They were apprehended with the assistance of the Hastinapur police.
