The shocking murder was uncovered in Bhiraavti village, where the wife, Sheila, sacrificed her husband, Naresh Kumar, to conceal her infidelity. The police not only solved this gruesome murder but also thwarted Sheila's cunning plan to frame her cousins.
On Tuesday night, Naresh, aged 40, was asleep in his field, guarding his garlic crop. The following morning, his body was discovered under suspicious circumstances. Initially, Sheila attempted to mislead the police by suggesting a family feud and implicating her cousins. However, inconsistencies in her statements prompted the police to shift their investigation focus.
The Motive Behind the Murder
During a press conference, Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi revealed that Sheila had been involved in a long-term illicit affair with her relative, Satyapal. Naresh had become aware of this affair and was acting as a barrier between them. To eliminate this obstacle, Sheila plotted with Satyapal to murder her husband.
Events of the Night of the Murder
On the night of the incident, around 10 PM, Sheila went to the field to give her husband milk, as she usually did. Afterward, she returned home and called Satyapal to come over. The two then rode back to the field on a motorcycle. Naresh was in a deep sleep when they arrived. Together, they strangled him with his own scarf, leading to his death. Following the murder, Satyapal fled the scene while Sheila returned home to sleep, attempting to avoid suspicion.
Police Investigation and Arrests
The post-mortem report confirmed that Naresh died from strangulation. Based on technical evidence and call details, the police rigorously interrogated Sheila. Under psychological pressure, she confessed to the crime in collaboration with Satyapal. The police have arrested Satyapal and recovered the scarf and motorcycle used in the murder. Both suspects have been presented in court and subsequently remanded to jail.
