In a disturbing incident from Noida, a young man developed a same-sex relationship with his neighbor. Upon discovering this, the young man's mother began to oppose their interactions, leading to escalating tensions.
Arrest Made Within 24 Hours
Noida Murder Case: A shocking murder case has emerged from Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The police swiftly apprehended the suspect within 24 hours, revealing that the murder was committed in response to the victim's same-sex relationship. After identifying the suspect through CCTV footage, law enforcement arrested him near Tivoli Farmhouse and subsequently took him into custody.
The police identified the suspect as Shafiq, also known as Javed, from Fatehpur. He works as a painter and resides in a rented room in Sarfabad. Following the death of his wife, his two children are being raised by a family in Ghaziabad.
Details of the Relationship
During police interrogation, the suspect revealed that he had been in a same-sex relationship with his neighbor for about a year. When the victim's mother learned of their relationship, she began to object to their meetings. Despite her objections, the suspect wanted to maintain contact with the young man.
To facilitate their meetings, he devised a plan to propose a marriage between the young man and his cousin. However, when he approached the victim's home on Wednesday to discuss the marriage, the mother outright refused.
Brutal Attack on the Victim
Angered by the refusal, Shafiq brutally attacked the woman with a knife, inflicting multiple wounds to her neck, abdomen, and chest, resulting in her death. After noticing blood flowing from the door, he fled the scene. Neighbors promptly alerted the police about the murder.
Evidence Recovery by Police
Following the investigation, the police sent the woman's body for autopsy and collected nearby CCTV footage. They noted that the suspect attempted to conceal the motive behind the murder by stealing the victim's phone. He smashed the phone with a brick while fleeing, but kept the knife used in the attack.
The police reported that he intended to dispose of the knife and phone in a drain or deep pit during the night, but was unable to do so due to police patrols in the area. Currently, the authorities have recovered both the knife and the phone from the suspect and are continuing their investigation.
