Shocking Murder Case in Gujarat: A Tale of Betrayal and Greed

A recent incident in Gujarat has emerged as a horrifying murder case, exemplifying the most extreme violations of familial trust. This narrative revolves around a 75-year-old man and his daughter-in-law, whose illicit relationship culminated in a brutal act of violence.

The victim has been identified as Jagdish Sharma, who, despite his age, was reportedly leading a colorful life. Investigations revealed that he was involved in an unlawful affair with his daughter-in-law, Manisha Sharma. Their relationship was not merely physical; it also involved financial transactions, with Manisha accepting money from her father-in-law in exchange for their encounters.

As time progressed, the situation took a dramatic turn. Manisha reportedly connected with another individual through social media, who promised to take her abroad. To realize this dream, she demanded ₹2 lakh from Jagdish.

This demand created a rift in their relationship.

Jagdish refused to provide the money, not only denying her request but also humiliating her and obstructing her plans to travel abroad. This response infuriated Manisha, and her greed, anger, and thwarted aspirations transformed into something dangerous.

On the day of the incident, both were in a private room at home. Reports indicate that Manisha first attacked Jagdish with a knife on his private parts, followed by multiple blows to his head with a hard object. The elderly man succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

After the murder, the body remained in the room. When Jagdish was missing for three days, his family grew concerned. Their search led to the police, and during a house inspection, his body was discovered in a naked and mutilated state, shocking the entire family.

In the initial investigation, Jagdish's son suspected his brother's wife, Manisha. Upon her detention and rigorous questioning by the police, she confessed to the crime, detailing the events surrounding the money, the illicit affair, and her plans to escape abroad.

Forensic reports corroborated the murder, indicating severe injuries to the head and private parts as the cause of death. Subsequently, Manisha was arrested and taken to jail.

This case remains one of the historical crime cases that illustrates how greed and lust can lead individuals to the depths of depravity.
