Following the forensic lab report, law enforcement took action and arrested the deceased's wife and father-in-law, sending them to jail. Investigations revealed that the deceased had been experiencing ongoing disputes with his wife, Tanu. The couple, married three years ago, had been under increasing stress, leading Tanu and her father, Mahendra, to conspire to commit murder. They lured the victim to their home under the pretense of a birthday party, where he was excessively intoxicated and poisoned with pesticide.


Pesticide Mixed in Alcohol


After the incident, the young man's condition deteriorated around 3 AM, and he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Initially, the cause of death was unclear in the post-mortem report, prompting the preservation of the viscera. Four months later, the forensic report confirmed that pesticide was the cause of death. Despite initial inaction from authorities, the victim's mother sought justice through the courts.


Arrest of Wife and Father-in-Law After Four Months


On January 5, a case was registered at the Trans Yamuna police station following a court order. Subsequently, on March 16, the investigation was handed over to the Kamla Nagar police. DCP City Ali Abbas stated that during questioning, the accused confessed to their crime. Mahendra admitted to poisoning his son-in-law out of frustration from ongoing disputes. Both Tanu and Mahendra have been arrested and are now in custody.


The victim's mother is calling for severe punishment for the guilty parties, and the police are gathering additional evidence to ensure a strong prosecution.
