In a disturbing incident in Agra, a young man met a tragic fate at the hands of his girlfriend and her mother. The duo allegedly strangled him and subsequently set his body ablaze in a car. Following the revelation of this heinous crime, law enforcement apprehended the girlfriend and her mother, who are now in custody.
The victim, Pushpendra Yadav, a transport businessman from Kasganj, was murdered by Dolly, the daughter of a known criminal, and her mother, Bhuri Devi. They were arrested on Thursday after police investigations revealed that Pushpendra was lured to their home during a wedding celebration on the night of the 25th. Taking advantage of the festivities, they killed him without anyone noticing due to the noise.
After the wedding guests departed late at night, the culprits attempted to dispose of the body by driving towards Rajasthan. However, they set the car on fire en route.
SSP Shailesh Kumar Pandey reported that the police acted on a tip-off and arrested Bhuri Devi and her daughter Dolly from near Raipurajaat. During questioning, Bhuri Devi disclosed that Pushpendra had developed a close relationship with her husband, which led to complications involving their daughter. In September 2023, Pushpendra had allegedly manipulated Dolly into leaving with him, prompting Bhuri Devi to file a case against him.
Bhuri Devi further explained that they had arranged a marriage for Dolly in Rajasthan, but Pushpendra's interference threatened to derail those plans. Consequently, a conspiracy was hatched by her husband, brother-in-law, and brother-in-law's son to eliminate Pushpendra. On the day of the wedding, while Pushpendra was intoxicated, they executed their plan and killed him.
Afterward, they transported the body in the car, driving around for two hours before incinerating it in the Farah area. The police are currently searching for the other suspects involved in the crime, including Awadhesh, Gautam, and Rajesh, who remain at large.
