A deeply troubling incident has emerged from Hyderabad, where a man allegedly orchestrated the gang rape of his wife on their wedding night with the help of his friends. The National Commission for Women has taken notice of this case and has requested a detailed report from the state police.

In a shocking revelation, a newlywed woman has accused her husband and his friends of gang rape. The incident reportedly occurred on the night of their wedding, raising serious questions about the husband's actions. According to the victim, she married a man from Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh on July 28, 2025, at a sub-registrar office in Kukatpally.
Gang Rape During the Wedding Night
The victim informed the police that after their marriage, they began living in a rented accommodation in Begumpet. On their wedding night, her husband invited five friends over, where they consumed alcohol and forced her to drink as well. She claims that after she lost consciousness, her husband and his friends proceeded to gang rape her.
Police Investigation Underway
Following the complaint, the Begumpet police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Reports indicate that all accused individuals are currently at large, and efforts to locate them are ongoing. Initially, the victim approached the Kukatpally police station, but the case was transferred to Begumpet due to the location of the incident.
Victim's Living Situation
The victim resides in Kukatpally with her widowed mother and younger sister. The police have stated that they are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case, given its serious nature, and are committed to apprehending the suspects soon.
National Commission for Women's Response
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has proactively sought a detailed report from the state police regarding this incident. The chairperson of the commission has instructed the Director General of Police in Telangana to ensure that a First Information Report (FIR) is filed immediately, that all accused are swiftly arrested, and that the investigation is completed within a specified timeframe.
Safety Measures for the Victim
Additionally, the commission has directed that adequate measures be taken to ensure the victim's safety. They have requested a report on the actions taken within seven days. The NCW has condemned this incident as a severe violation of women's dignity, bodily autonomy, and the sanctity of marriage, labeling it a matter of grave concern for society.
