Shocking Incident in Kendrapara: Man Attacked by Girlfriend, Allegations of Foul Play Arise

Kendrapara: A man was reportedly injured after his girlfriend allegedly attacked him, slitting his throat near Hajari Chhak within the Sadar police jurisdiction in Kendrapara district, as per sources on Thursday.

The injured individual has been identified as Satyajit Sarangi, who hails from Baghuathenga village, located under the Kujanga police station in Jagatsinghpur district.

According to SDPO Jyotiranjan Gaur, Assistant Sub-Inspector Lobhabati Sahu discovered Satyajit lying in a pool of blood around 9 PM on Tuesday. He was subsequently rescued by the Marshaghai police.

Initially, Satyajit received first aid at the Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital before being transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for advanced treatment.

The victim revealed that he was in a relationship with a woman from Adhapati village, also in Jagatsinghpur district. He claimed that during a meeting on Tuesday night, she attacked him with a sharp object and fled the scene on a motorcycle.

In response to the victim's account, the police have filed a case and initiated an investigation. A forensic team and a dog squad have been deployed to assist in the inquiry.
