A deeply troubling incident has emerged from Hyderabad, where a man allegedly orchestrated the gang rape of his wife on their wedding night with the help of his friends. The National Commission for Women has taken notice of this case and has requested a detailed report from the state police.


Details of the Allegation

In a shocking revelation, a newlywed woman has accused her husband and his friends of gang rape. The incident reportedly occurred on the night of their marriage, raising serious questions about the actions of the husband. The victim claims that on July 28, 2025, she married a man from Nellore district at a sub-registrar office in Kukatpally.


Gang Rape During the Wedding Night

According to the victim's statement to the police, after their marriage, they moved into a rented accommodation in Begumpet. On their wedding night, her husband invited five friends over, where they consumed alcohol and forced her to drink as well. The victim alleges that she was gang-raped by her husband and his friends after she lost consciousness.


Investigation Underway

Following the complaint, the Begumpet police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Reports indicate that all accused individuals are currently at large, and efforts to locate them are ongoing. Initially, the victim approached the Kukatpally police station, but the case was transferred to Begumpet due to the location of the incident.

The victim resides in Kukatpally with her widowed mother and younger sister. The police have stated that they are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case, given its serious nature, and are committed to apprehending the suspects soon.


National Commission for Women's Response
