Incident Overview

Ghaziabad: A distressing incident has emerged where a ninth-grade student was reportedly assaulted within her home by four boys, three of whom she recognized from school. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the case, as confirmed by officials on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning while the girl was home alone, as her mother had stepped out to shop.

According to reports, the girl had been communicating with a boy on Instagram, who had been urging her to meet. At approximately 11:30 AM on Sunday, he arrived at her residence, knocked on the door, and when she opened it, he and three accomplices forcefully entered her room and assaulted her, as stated by an official.

The girl's mother returned from the market to find the door slightly open. Upon entering, she discovered her daughter with the four boys. She quickly took her daughter out of the room and secured the boys inside before contacting the police.

However, before the police arrived, some members of the housing society allegedly intervened and released the boys, according to the official.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kavinagar) Bhaskar Verma reported that the girl's father has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the four suspects.

The boys involved are students in grades 11, 10, and 9. The girl has undergone a medical examination, but her statement has yet to be recorded, and no arrests have been made. The police are actively investigating the situation, Verma added.

An inquiry is ongoing to gather more facts and details surrounding the case.
