A shocking incident has emerged from Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh, where a husband allegedly stabbed his pregnant wife in the abdomen with a sword. The horrifying discovery was made by the husband's sister, who screamed upon seeing the body.
On Friday, in the village of Rampur, located in the Tundla area of the Nagla Singhi police station, a deranged husband brutally murdered his five-month-pregnant wife. The accused fled the scene immediately after the crime. Preliminary police investigations suggest that the motive behind the murder was suspicion regarding the wife's character and ongoing family disputes.
The victim, 26-year-old Seema, was reportedly targeted by her husband, Govind, who had meticulously planned the murder. On the morning of the incident, Govind's sister, Lakshmi, took Seema's daughters to a local fair, leaving Seema alone at home with her six-month-old baby. During this time, Govind initiated an argument and attacked Seema with a sword kept in the room, resulting in her immediate death.
When Lakshmi returned from the fair, she found the main door locked from the inside and heard the cries of Seema's infant daughter. Fearing the worst, she entered through another door and was horrified by the sight of blood everywhere and Seema's lifeless body.
Police investigations revealed that Govind had a history of substance abuse and harbored suspicions about his wife's fidelity. He had purchased the sword three months prior from Karauli in Rajasthan, indicating he had been looking for an opportunity to commit the crime. Lakshmi, who is married but lives with her family due to her husband's second marriage, shared that their father, Vijay, works in the fields, while Seema managed the household and cared for her children.
Seema had previously endured a troubled marriage, having divorced her first husband in 2020 due to his father’s inappropriate behavior. She later entered a love marriage with Govind, with whom she had two daughters and was expecting another child. The police have registered a case against Govind for murder based on a complaint from Seema's father, and multiple teams are searching for the fugitive.
