According to reports, on the evening of September 17, police were alerted about a missing child. The child's mother filed a complaint, stating that her son had gone missing while playing near their home after returning from tuition around 6:30 PM. Despite extensive searching, he could not be found, prompting the police to register a kidnapping case under Section 137(2) of the Indian Penal Code.

CCTV Footage Reveals Clues

During the investigation, police reviewed nearby CCTV footage, which showed the child leaving with an older boy. When the footage was shown to the mother, she quickly identified the boy as a 15-year-old neighbor living in their building. The police acted swiftly and apprehended the teenager from his home.

Motivation Behind the Crime

The police inquiry revealed a shocking motive. The 15-year-old had dropped out of school after completing the 10th grade. Recently, he had taken his landlord's motorcycle without permission and left it elsewhere. The child's mother had reported this to the landlord, leading to the teenager being reprimanded by his father. Feeling aggrieved, he decided to take revenge on the child's mother.

On September 17, while the young boy was playing near his home, the accused lured him into the nearby Ramjas Park area. There, he pushed the child down a 30-foot gorge and subsequently attacked him with stones before returning home.

After questioning the suspect, the police located the injured child and rushed him to the hospital. He is currently in the ICU, with doctors closely monitoring his condition. The police have charged the teenager with kidnapping and attempted murder under Section 109(1) of the Indian Penal Code.
