How It All Began

According to reports, on the evening of September 17, police were alerted about a missing child. The boy's mother filed a complaint, stating that her son had been playing near their home after returning from tutoring around 6:30 PM when he suddenly disappeared. Despite extensive searching, he could not be found, prompting the police to register a kidnapping case under Section 137(2) of the Indian Penal Code.

CCTV Footage Reveals Clues

During the investigation, police reviewed nearby CCTV footage, which showed the child leaving with an older boy. When the footage was shown to the mother, she immediately recognized the 15-year-old neighbor. The police swiftly acted and apprehended the teenager at his residence.

Motivation Behind the Crime

The police inquiry revealed a shocking motive. The 15-year-old had dropped out of school after completing the 10th grade. Recently, he had taken his landlord's motorcycle without permission and left it elsewhere, which led to the child's mother reporting him to the landlord. Following this, the teenager's father reprimanded him, which seemingly prompted the boy to seek revenge against the child's mother.

Execution of the Disturbing Act

On September 17, while the young boy was playing near his home, the accused lured him to a wooded area in Ramjas Park. There, he pushed the child down a 30-foot gorge and attacked him with stones before returning home.

Child's Critical Condition

After questioning the suspect, police located the injured child and rushed him to the hospital. He is currently in the ICU, with doctors closely monitoring his condition. The police have charged the teenager with kidnapping and attempted murder under Section 109(1) of the Indian Penal Code.
