In a harrowing incident in the Naogaon area of Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, a father allegedly attempted to set his innocent children on fire. Fortunately, alert neighbors intervened just in time to save the children. They have been admitted to the community health center in Naogaon for treatment due to their serious injuries. Upon receiving the report, local police arrived at the scene and took the father into custody for questioning.

Background of the Incident

Raghavendra Tiwari, a resident of Palera in Tikamgarh district, was living with his wife and children in a rented house on Chhatarpur Road while constructing their own home in Naogaon. On Friday, his wife had gone to her parental home early in the morning. Later that evening, Raghavendra took his two young children to their rented accommodation. When his wife called to check on the children, she heard them crying and screaming on the phone.

Children Severely Burned

Meanwhile, neighbors noticed smoke coming from the house and rushed to the scene, breaking down the door. Inside, they found the children in a state of panic, with burns on their hands. The neighbors quickly extinguished the fire and rescued the children, who were then taken to the Naogaon community health center for urgent medical care. The children are so traumatized by the incident that they are unable to speak properly.

Police Investigation Underway

The police arrived promptly and took Raghavendra Tiwari into custody for further investigation. They are currently assessing his mental state to determine if he is fit for questioning. At this stage, law enforcement officials are refraining from making any public statements regarding the case.
