Shocking Incident in Balasore: Four Arrested for Gang Rape of Minor

Arrests Made in Disturbing Case

Balasore: Authorities have apprehended four individuals, including three minors, in connection with the gang rape of a young girl and the subsequent distribution of a video depicting the assault, according to police reports.

Despite the incident taking place seven months prior, law enforcement initiated an investigation on Monday after the victim disclosed the details to her family.

One adult suspect was arrested, while three minors were taken into custody for further questioning. Medical examinations were conducted on the victim, the detained minors, and the adult suspect on Tuesday. The crime occurred when a 15-year-old girl from a village in the Darada panchayat was enticed by a male acquaintance to a remote area.

In that secluded spot, the girl was allegedly gang raped by her friend and three other minors. The assailants recorded the incident on their phones and threatened to release the footage if she reported the crime. Out of fear and shame, the girl chose to remain silent. Her testimony was recorded in court on Tuesday, with the adult suspect presented before the court and the minors referred to the Juvenile Justice Board.
