Alarming Case of Assault in Puri
Puri: Authorities reported that a 56-year-old man has been accused of raping a differently-abled woman within the jurisdiction of Balanga police on Saturday.
Balanga IIC Dibyaranjan Panda stated that the alleged crime occurred late on Friday night when most of the victim's family members were away attending a wedding.
The accused, identified as Rabi Tripathy, took advantage of the absence of the family and assaulted her, according to the police complaint lodged by the victim's relatives.
Following the complaint, law enforcement has initiated a case and apprehended the suspect. "Rabi has undergone a medical examination, and the survivor's statement has been documented. The investigation is ongoing," Panda confirmed.
