On the evening of October 17, Pareshbhai, accompanied by his friend Jignesh Shrimali, rode to Anjali's parental home in Narol. He confronted his mother-in-law, Dinaben Vegda, demanding to know why she wouldn't send his wife back home. This confrontation quickly turned violent.

In a fit of rage, Paresh allegedly attempted to assault his mother-in-law with a weapon. In response, Dinaben swiftly picked up a brick and struck him on the head. He fell immediately, and she continued to hit him with a stick, causing severe injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
