New Delhi: A disturbing incident has emerged from Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh, where a domestic dispute escalated dramatically. On Friday, a quarrel between a husband and wife took a violent turn when the husband bit his wife's lips. According to police reports, the altercation resulted in the woman requiring 16 stitches on her lips, rendering her unable to speak.

Communication Challenges

Police officials stated that the victim was unable to verbally recount her ordeal, prompting her to write down the entire incident on paper. She has filed a complaint against her husband, brother-in-law, and mother-in-law for harassment. Mohit Tomar, the officer in charge of Magorra police station, revealed that the woman alleged that her husband returned home on Friday evening and began arguing with her. When she asked him to calm down, he resorted to physical violence.

Family's Involvement

According to Mohit Tomar, when the woman urged her husband to stop, he unexpectedly bit both her lips, causing significant bleeding. Her sister, who attempted to intervene, was also assaulted. The woman claims that when she reported her husband's actions to her mother-in-law and brother-in-law, they responded with verbal abuse and physical aggression.

Medical Attention Required

Upon learning of the incident, the victim's father took her to the police station, where a complaint was lodged against her husband Vishnu, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law. Police confirmed that the woman received 16 stitches on her lips. The station chief noted that the dispute stemmed from domestic issues, and since the incident, the brother-in-law and mother-in-law have gone missing, with efforts underway to apprehend them.
