Shocking Domestic Turmoil: Husband Seeks Protection from Wife After 11-Year Marriage Ends
A Disturbing Turn in a Marriage
The bond of marriage is often said to last through seven lifetimes, yet some individuals seem intent on tarnishing this sacred relationship. Historically, there have been numerous reports of wives facing abuse, but recent incidents reveal a troubling trend where husbands are now the victims. Cases involving Nikita, Muskaan, and Sonam Raghuwanshi have drawn attention, highlighting situations where husbands have either taken drastic measures due to their wives' torment or faced fatal consequences at the hands of their partners. A recent case from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, illustrates this alarming shift, where a husband claims his wife ended their 11-year relationship immediately after becoming a nurse, allegedly threatening his life.
The distressed husband has filed a complaint against his wife, seeking police protection. Sant Pal reported to the authorities, stating, 'I invested in my wife's education, spending 5 lakh on her nursing course. As soon as she secured a job, she left me and is now living with her boyfriend. She even wants to kill me.'
This incident occurred in the Majhola police jurisdiction. Sant Pal married Pummy Sagar in 2014, and they have two children together. Their relationship seemed stable until Pummy expressed a desire to pursue further education. Sant Pal supported her ambitions, financing her nursing studies. However, after she landed a job as an ANM, she allegedly became involved with a colleague named Manoj.
Violence and Betrayal
Upon discovering the affair, Sant Pal attempted to confront Pummy. In a bid to mislead her husband, Pummy filed a case against Manoj in 2023, but it was merely a façade as she continued her relationship with him. This led to frequent disputes at home, escalating tensions. Sant Pal accused Pummy's brothers of assaulting him, claiming they attacked him on June 21, while Pummy herself stated, 'I no longer have feelings for you.'
Threat to Life
Based on Sant Pal's complaint, a case of assault has been registered against Pummy and her two brothers. The situation has deteriorated to the point where Pummy remains in their home, while Sant Pal has sought refuge in a rented place for his safety. He expressed his fears, stating, 'My wife might kill me, and I need protection.'
