The owner of a biryani shop in Lucknow reported that his establishment had been closed for four days following the death of his father. Upon returning to the shop on Sunday, he made a horrifying discovery: a body was found inside the freezer.

This unsettling event took place in the Bakshi Ka Talab area, where the shop had been shuttered. When the owner arrived on Sunday, he was shocked to find a corpse in the freezer and promptly notified the police.

Law enforcement arrived quickly to investigate the scene. Initially, there was no information about the deceased, but later, an Aadhaar card was discovered with the body, identifying the individual as Vijay Pal.

Location of the Incident

The incident occurred near the GCRG Gate in the Bakshi Ka Talab police jurisdiction. The body was found in the deep freezer of the vegetarian biryani shop located in front of the college gate, causing a stir in the neighborhood. The shop had been closed for several days due to the owner's father's passing. When the owner opened the shop on Sunday morning, he was taken aback by the sight of the body and immediately contacted the authorities. The police retrieved the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

No Signs of Trauma Found

The deceased has been identified as Vijay Pal, approximately 35 to 38 years old, and a resident of Kishunpur in the BKT police area. His identity was confirmed through the Aadhaar card found in his pocket, and family members arrived at the scene. Notably, there were no visible signs of injury on the body. The freezer's power connection had been cut off. The cause of death remains unclear, and police are investigating how the body ended up in the freezer, considering whether it was a homicide or due to other factors such as a heart attack. Currently, it appears to be a murder mystery, pending the post-mortem report.
