However, upon opening the door, he was stunned to find his wife in a compromising position with her lover.

The Husband's Account

Bhagwarlal, the husband, recounted that the incident took place around 12:30 AM. He was asleep in his room when he was awakened by some noise. To his shock, he discovered his wife, Suman, in a compromising situation with her lover, Laduram. When Bhagwarlal confronted them, Suman allegedly attempted to strangle him. Laduram managed to escape the scene. Other family members arrived after hearing Bhagwarlal's cries for help and intervened. Bhagwarlal mentioned that prior to this incident, Suman had argued with him and decided to sleep separately.

Discovery of Suspicious Substances

Following the incident, Bhagwarlal and his family searched the room, uncovering a white suspicious powder, some narcotic pills, and a syringe from the wardrobe. Bhagwarlal claimed that these items were intended to poison him gradually. He informed the police that he had been feeling unwell for some time and suspected that Suman was tampering with his food and drinks. This suspicion was reinforced when the suspicious substances were found. The police have seized these items for forensic analysis, and Bhagwarlal is undergoing a medical examination to determine if he had been poisoned.

Previous Incidents of Elopement

The police investigation revealed that Suman had previously eloped with her alleged lover, Laduram, in March 2024. Bhagwarlal had filed a complaint about her disappearance at the Renwal police station. She returned home a few days later with her family, but Bhagwarlal remained suspicious of her activities.
