A disturbing incident of attempted sexual assault has emerged from Jharkhand, where a young man allegedly tried to assault a woman traveling on a train while under the influence of alcohol. Reports indicate that the victim, a woman with disabilities, was on her way to Uttar Pradesh from Odisha. In the early hours, around 2 to 3 AM, she left her seat to use the bathroom.


During this time, a pantry car staff member, identified as Ramjeet, entered the bathroom and attempted to assault her. Upon receiving the complaint, railway police apprehended the suspect as soon as the train reached the station.


Brave Intervention by Fellow Passengers

According to the victim, the accused not only attempted sexual assault but also engaged in unnatural acts against her will. Hearing her cries for help, two young men traveling on the train intervened, forcing the bathroom door open to rescue her from the assailant.
