In Ghaziabad, a shocking incident unfolded in the Vijayanagar police station area. A young man, suspecting his wife of infidelity, attacked his neighbor with a sword. The assault resulted in severe injuries, including the neighbor losing part of his ear. The incident was captured on CCTV and has since gone viral on social media, creating a climate of fear in the vicinity.
The attack occurred on the evening of April 16 at the Gokuldham Society in Siddharth Vihar. Abhishek, riding his bike near Gate Number 1 of the society, was suddenly ambushed by Nitin, a resident of the same society, wielding a sword. A scuffle ensued between the two men.
As the sword struck, Abhishek fell to the ground. Nitin's aggression did not cease, and he attempted further attacks. The blade inflicted a serious injury to Abhishek's ear. Bystanders rushed to the scene, attempting to intervene, and they later transported the injured man to a hospital.
Nitin had previously harbored suspicions about an affair between his wife and Abhishek, leading to multiple disputes between them. This suspicion culminated in the violent attack. Following the incident, police at the Vijayanagar station registered a case based on Abhishek's complaint and initiated an investigation, resulting in Nitin's arrest.
CCTV footage from the scene has captured the entire incident, and police are currently reviewing the recordings. Authorities have stated that they are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case, and further actions will be taken based on the findings.
