Shocking Allegations: Maharashtra Woman Claims Husband Installed Spy Cameras in Bedroom
Disturbing Claims of Surveillance and Harassment
Pune: A government officer from Maharashtra has come forward with alarming accusations against her husband, claiming he secretly set up spy cameras in their bedroom to capture intimate moments. She also reported enduring both mental and physical abuse, with demands for a dowry of Rs 1.5 lakh, according to police reports.
The 31-year-old woman, who works as a Class-2 officer in a state department, alleged that her husband, who is also a government employee, had placed cameras in their bathroom as well.
Following her complaint, authorities have initiated legal action against her husband, mother-in-law, three sisters-in-law, and the spouses of two sisters-in-law. They face charges under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including 85 (cruelty by a husband or his relatives) and 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt).
According to police, the woman described a pattern of harassment from her husband and his family, who pressured her to obtain Rs 1.5 lakh from her parents to cover car loan installments. When she refused, she faced physical violence.
Additionally, she claimed that her husband threatened to share the recordings from the spy cameras if she did not comply with his demands. The investigation into these serious allegations is currently underway.
