Shivraj Singh Chouhan Criticizes Rahul Gandhi's Remarks Against PM Modi
Chouhan Responds to Opposition Leader's Comments
On Thursday, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condemned the remarks made by opposition leader Rahul Gandhi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Lok Sabha session. Chouhan stated that such language reflects a low mentality, which the public will not forgive. Speaking in Hyderabad, he emphasized that this attitude is indicative of a mindset that is being honored globally, with Modi receiving prestigious accolades from various nations.
Political Rivalry Should Not Deter Respect
Chouhan further asserted that the public would never excuse the disrespectful language directed at the Prime Minister, who is recognized worldwide and has received numerous honors. While political rivalry is expected, he insisted that such derogatory language should never be used. He noted that the world admires Modi's leadership, and the nation stands united behind him.
Telangana BJP President Defends Modi's Diplomatic Gifts
Meanwhile, Telangana BJP President N. Ramchandra Rao also targeted Rahul Gandhi for criticizing Modi's gift to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. In Hyderabad, Rao defended the Prime Minister's gesture, describing the exchange of gifts as a standard practice in diplomatic relations. He questioned why Gandhi found it controversial for Modi to present a gift to the Italian leader.
Call for Responsible Opposition
Rao reminded Gandhi that Modi's visit aimed to enhance diplomatic and trade relations. He labeled Gandhi's politicization of the gift as highly irresponsible. The BJP leader advised Gandhi to refrain from such comments and adopt a more constructive approach, urging him to act like a responsible opposition leader.
