Central Minister's Strong Remarks Against Congress

On Saturday, Central Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a fierce attack on the Congress party, accusing it of echoing Pakistan's sentiments and raising unnecessary questions about Kargil Victory Day. He stated that in their attempts to oppose the Prime Minister, Congress is actually opposing the nation itself. Chouhan pointed out that Congress has questioned the significance of Kargil Victory Day, noting that from 2004 to 2009, during the UPA's tenure, the day was not celebrated. He recalled that even a Congress MP had questioned the need for celebration, stating that the war was fought under the NDA government.

Chouhan emphasized that when the country engages in war, it is not for any particular government. He questioned whether raising such issues reflects patriotism. He accused Congress of not only questioning Kargil but also the Sindoor Operation, claiming their attitude has reached a level of being 'anti-national.' He asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always honored the bravery of soldiers.

He reiterated that Congress's stance borders on being anti-national, stating that in their opposition to the Prime Minister, they have begun to oppose the country itself, speaking in a language akin to that of Pakistan. Chouhan referenced a statement made by Congress leader Rashid Alvi in 2009, who remarked that 'Kargil is not a thing to celebrate' and that 'the NDA can celebrate.' He added that since the war was led by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it was a victory for the coalition, not just the entire nation.

Chouhan also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of consistently apologizing for wrongdoings. He provided examples of how Gandhi has sought forgiveness for various issues, including the Emergency, the Rafale deal, and the Sikh riots. Chouhan suggested that if Gandhi were to err today, he would likely apologize for it a decade later.

He continued, 'Rahul ji takes a long time to understand. He first apologized for the Emergency, then for the Sikh riots, and later for the OBC community. What has Congress done for the welfare of OBCs? They have crushed every possible initiative for OBC welfare. He also apologized in the Rafale case, and now, whatever Rahul Gandhi is doing, he will apologize for it ten years later. He never does the right thing and ends up seeking forgiveness a decade later.'

Earlier in the day, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge paid tribute to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. In a social media post, he acknowledged their bravery in defending the motherland during the Kargil War.
