Shiv Sena Leader Criticizes Sanjay Raut Over Controversial Remarks
In a recent political clash, Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC has sharply criticized Sanjay Raut for his comments regarding Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Raut's reference to Shinde as 'Jaichand' has ignited a heated debate, with Shaina accusing him of betraying his ideology by aligning with the Congress and NCP in 2019. This controversy follows Raut's remarks after the BMC election results, where he claimed that Shinde's actions allowed the BJP to gain a foothold in Mumbai's municipal body. Shiv Sena's Shaina NC Responds to Raut's Comments
On Saturday, Shaina NC, a prominent leader of Shiv Sena, launched a strong critique against Sanjay Raut. This came after Raut referred to Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as 'Jaichand.' Shaina accused the Shiv Sena (UBT) MP of betraying his ideology by aligning with the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 2019.
In her response to Raut's remarks, Shaina emphasized that Eknath Shinde does not require any 'certificate' from Sanjay Raut and accused the UBT leader of having betrayed his own principles.
Shaina stated to a news agency that it seems Sanjay Raut is unable to accept the significant contributions made by Eknath Shinde for Maharashtra. She reiterated that Raut has forgotten that he had aligned himself with the Congress and NCP back in 2019, thus betraying his ideology. She suggested that Raut might need a new scriptwriter.
This controversy arose following Raut's sharp attack on Eknath Shinde after the results of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections were announced.
Raut alleged that if Shinde had not betrayed the party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would never have gained a foothold in the city's municipal body. He further claimed that Marathi people would remember Shinde as 'Jaichand.' In a post on X, Raut drew a historical parallel to the Rajput ruler Jaichand of the powerful Gahadwala dynasty, accusing Shinde of betrayal. Jaichand is known in folklore for siding with Muhammad Ghori against Prithviraj Chauhan.
Raut wrote, 'If Eknath Shinde had not become Shiv Sena's Jaichand, the BJP would never have secured a mayor in Mumbai! Marathi people will remember Shinde as Jaichand.' He elaborated that the BJP is creating divisions among opposition parties to strengthen its power in various states. He accused the BJP of winning elections by turning individuals into 'Jaichands.' Otherwise, he questioned, what is the BJP's strength? In every state and city, they break every party to create 'Jaichands' and win elections.
