Shiv Sena (UBT) Holds Key Meeting in Delhi

On Thursday, the Shiv Sena (UBT) made efforts to demonstrate solidarity. Amid rising political speculation regarding the alleged "Operation Tiger" aimed at poaching leaders from Uddhav Thackeray's faction, all nine Lok Sabha MPs from the party attended a parliamentary meeting in Delhi. This gathering gained significance due to reports suggesting that several Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs were in contact with Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's faction. In response, the party issued a three-line whip directing all MPs to participate in the meeting at their office in Parliament.

Strong Message from Sanjay Raut

Before the meeting commenced, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut delivered a stern message regarding loyalty to the party. He told reporters that those who attend are with us, while those who do not are considered dishonest and traitors. He indicated that absentees would not be regarded as loyal to the party. Among those present were Lok Sabha leaders Arvind Sawant, Anil Desai, Sanjay Jadhav, Omprakash Rajenimbalkar, Bhausaheb Wakchoure, Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay Deshmukh, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, and Rajabhau Waje.

Reaffirming Party Identity

When asked if all party MPs would participate, Sawant responded affirmatively with a thumbs-up. During a joint press conference with Sawant, Raut dismissed claims that Shinde's faction represents the real Shiv Sena. He questioned when Shinde's faction became the authentic Shiv Sena, asserting that the true Shiv Sena is where Thackeray is. In response to reports of attempts to split the party, Raut challenged those allegedly trying to poach MPs.

Defiance Against Allegations

Raut expressed confidence that such attempts had been made before, urging them to prove it. He stated, "If we don’t break you, we won’t carry our father’s name. Our father’s name is Balasaheb Thackeray. Are you mocking democracy? Do you have that much money? Who are you threatening with ED-CBI? Us? We have been to jail before and are ready to go again, but only after teaching you a lesson."
