Shikha Mankotia Takes a Stand for Youth Employment

Shikha Mankotia, an internationally recognized award winner and certified yoga therapist, made a significant move today for the youth of Himachal Pradesh by meeting with Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jatin Lal in Una. Representing the Himachal Unemployed Youth Federation (HUYF), she presented a memorandum that opposes the state's contentious Job Trainee Policy.


Mankotia expressed her strong disapproval of the policy, stating, “This policy is unacceptable under any circumstances. The youth of Himachal deserve dignity, not exploitation.”


The initiative gained notable support from Shrey Awasthi, the State Coordinator of HUYF, who praised Mankotia’s involvement in the cause. Awasthi remarked, “It is an honor for our federation to have a youth icon like Shikha Mankotia join us. Her influence reaches far beyond Una — she is a celebrated figure both nationally and internationally. Her voice will significantly amplify the cause of unemployed youth.”
